Mass media is very persuading and is also very entertaining. For example all the TV ads with famous people can be persuading and also the news can be persuading. It can also be very entertaining because there are so many shows that are on TV. No matter what the person is interested in, it is most likely on TV.

For example the weight watchers commercials use Charles Barkley. If people don’t know who Charles Barkley is he was a great NBA player. He was in 11 NBA all star games and won the MVP in 1993. If people see him trying to lose weight for weight watchers and saying that the company has worked then people will use it just because he is a popular guy.
Also TV is so entertaining. There is probably a TV show for about everything you could think of. There are sports shows, comedy shows, sifi shows, and many others. There are also informational shows. If a person is bored it is so easy to just sit on the couch, turn on the TV, and watch a show. The show will keep them interested.
TV companies know that their shows could be persuading but they don’t really care at all. Their main goal is to get people to watch their shows. The mass media is very persuading and entertaining because all of the TV ads, and because there are so many shows out there that anybody can almost always find something entertaining on TV.
